2025 Scholarship Winners
![]() | Bailey Monesmith, Rae Chornenky Scholarship - $3,500 Bailey is a recent graduate of Wickenburg High School who plans to attend Northern Arizona University in the fall of 2025. Her plans include majoring in Sport Psychology, Exercise Science/Kinesiology, or Exercise Physiology and then on to graduate school for Physical Therapy. Bailey has maintained a position on the Principal’s Honor Roll all while being a three sport varsity athlete. She has received high accolades from her basketball coach and her student council teacher; who both wrote impressive letters of recommendation. Her basketball coach noted Bailey’s exceptional achievements and unwavering commitment to academics, athletics, and community service. Her student council teacher noted her deep commitment to volunteerism and community service. The RWOW scholarship committee was impressed by both her work ethic, wonderful character traits, and her thoughtful essay in relation to the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE); and thus awarded her the Rae Chornenky Scholarship. |
Morgan Coker, Jan Hermsmeyer Scholarship - $2,000 Morgan is a college Freshman attending Northern Arizona University where she expects to graduate May 2028. Morgan is majoring in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology and would like to someday work as a Marine Biologist or High School Biology Teacher. She received a letter of recommendation from her high school English teacher who noted Morgan was an “exceptional individual who embodies scholarly qualities like curiosity and dedication while also approaching any situation with kindness and humility”. Also noted was her strong work ethic and her relentless drive to succeed. Her cumulative GPA after her first two terms is 3.19 with some difficult classes such as chemistry, precalculus, applied statistics, and Cell and Multicellular Biology. The RWOW scholarship committee was impressed with her thoughts presented in her essay on mitigating illegal immigration costs and dissolving the Department of Interior (with reassignment of essential functions to other government agencies). Morgan has been awarded the Jan Hermsmeyer Scholarship. | ![]() |
Mark Blodgett, President's Scholarship - $1,500 Mark is a college Sophomore at Arizona Christian University majoring in Business Administration where he expects to graduate May 2027. His cumulative GPA is 3.88 after completion of three semesters. He received a letter of recommendation from the Assistant Administrator at Wickenburg Christian Academy where it was noted Mark was a “one-of-a-kind young man”. He is also considered a thinker who takes the time to consider other viewpoints. Many of his outstanding characteristics include being a man of character, trustworthy, and a leader who puts others ahead of himself. Mark’s essay impressed the RWOW Scholarship committee where he noted DOGE should consider eliminating the Department of Education and USAID; both agencies having failed in their mission after the spending of millions of taxpayer dollars. Mark has been awarded the President’s Scholarship. |
